[Q] How do you adjust volume with screen off / @ lock screen?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust our phone's volume (music volume, or to quickly put the phone in/out of silent mode) while :

1. While the screen is off

2. While the screen is on and still in the locked screen (when there is a password set...due to exchange security policies)
