Get back the original CRT fade out effect for 5.1

I just picked up the Nexus 5 today and before applying any of the updates it had the old CRT tv fade out effect, which I loved ever since it came out. After updating it to 5.1 that CRT fade out effect is gone. Is there anyway to get it back?
